Nearly 150 organizations sent a letter urging Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry to use his powers to end the flow of finance from Wall Street to the industries driving climate change.
Over 400 organizations from 50 countries signing onto a new letter called on the Joe Biden administration to immediately end all U.S. public financing for fossil fuels, including natural gas.
Earlier today, John Kerry, who is Joe Biden’s special envoy on climate change, warned the industry that they “don’t want to be sitting there with stranded assets. That fight is useless. You’re going to end up on the wrong side of this battle.”
The President says he understands climate and is committed to acting in the interests of posterity and not big donors. That means rejecting Keystone XL, plain and simple. The President and Secretary of State Kerry have all the information they need to reject this pipeline.
