As local communities suffer, GOP and political right weaponize East Palestine disaster

Unless we kick dirty money out of politics and put communities and safety first, there will be more railroad disasters. Until then, the people of East Palestine deserve the dignity of the truth and whether their air is safe to breathe and water safe to drink.

How many explosions before we stop crude-by-rail?

This past Saturday, it happened again. A train carrying highly volatile crude oil, in this case tar sands crude from Alberta, derailed in Ontario and caught fire, destroying a bridge in the blaze. This is the fourth time in as many weeks an oil train has derailed and caught fire or exploded.
