GULF OF MEXICO – Crewmembers aboard the vessel Q4000 extract the damaged blow out preventer from the Deepwater Horizon oil rig from the Gulf of Mexico Sept. 4, 2010. The preventer was removed and replaced on the well head by a newly tested preventer and will be taken for evidence in the ongoing investigation.
